The history of Darex goes back to 1973 when it was founded in Beecher, Illinois. The company's name is made up of the initials of three generations of the Bernard family - Arthur, David, and Richard. Arthur Bernard, who had previously founded the Bernard Welding Company, provided guidance and support to his son and grandson.
