The toddler stage, encompassing the ages of 1 to 3 years, is a period of tremendous growth and development in a child's life. Toddlers are full of energy, curiosity, and a strong desire for independence. Physically, they become more agile and mobile, mastering the skills of walking, running, jumping, and climbing. Their fine motor skills improve, allowing them to manipulate objects with greater precision and engage in activities such as drawing, stacking blocks, or fitting shapes into corresponding holes. Language development continues to accelerate, and toddlers expand their vocabulary, learning to form more complex sentences and express their thoughts and emotions. Their cognitive abilities flourish as they explore their environment, engage in pretend play, and begin to solve simple problems. Socially, toddlers begin to interact more with their peers, engaging in parallel play, sharing toys, and developing early friendships. They also assert their independence, expressing their preferences and desires, although they still rely on their caregivers for support and guidance. The toddler stage is a dynamic and formative time, filled with rapid progress, endless curiosity, and the joy of newfound independence.
